Releases
If we're gonna be posting album releases as old as Reel Big Fish's, you might as well put it on there that Mustard Plug released a ska-ish album in September, "In Black and White".

edit: quote added for clarification

Also our new album Part of the Problem came out last week, you can find links to order it through our myspace page. We've only got an album sampler and one full song from the new album up (Another Drink), but we should have some more full songs up soon. I know I'm biased but it is really awesome, and you all should buy it cause we're loving broke!

You guys need to get that album up on iTunes, I just found your stuff and I want the new album instantly!

He probably means Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, which has some ska/reggae elements and is classified on wikipedia as ska, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ob-La-Di,_Ob-La-Da.

But that's really the only rationalization I can see

in that song I always imagined when he said Desmond, he meant Desmond Dekker and I'm not sure he doesn't...! And of course we ALL know that Desmond Dekker is a Jamaican ska/reggae legend, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desmond_Dekker.

Scrambles is alright. I can't get a good bead on it yet because I've only listened through it once, but at the very least it hasn't disappointed me and it's absolutely at the caliber of To Leave Or Die and Get Warmer, the other two BTMI albums I have.

They're all free, there's no reason not to have all of them...you can get them all here: http://www.quoteunquoterecords.com/albums.htm

They're all really good too, so it's not as if they'd be a big waste of space

Russkaja is also a really great foreign ska band, russian, obviously. There's also Banda Bassoti, which is Italian. Fast Food Orchestra is Czech, but they sing in english so it's cool.

Kemuri is J-ska but I'm pretty sure he's in the OP, even. Basically, everyone in this thread listens to foreign ska.

Here are some music videos

Fast Food Orchestra - Roldolpho (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx5fQ2laJE4)

Yes they do. Who are they? Why are they covering my favorite songs?

I know a girl who knows these guys, they're part of a group of friends that has a lot of musical collective projects and stuff, I'll dig up some myspaces and put them up here, if it's not too creepy maybe
