Pittsburgh has something called Four Chord Music Festival in September. I’ll likely have to pick one day and I’d rather see Jawbreaker again, but both days have pretty solid lineups.

Yeah that second day is way better stacked imo. Don’t miss Drug Church’s set, they’re fantastic live.

I saw circle jerks last week in copenhagen. They were really fun and did some great boomer talking between songs.

It brings me absolutely no joy to say this, but I'm a bit disappointed by the new Young Widows album. Yeah, it doesn't sound all that different from the last two albums before their hiatus, but it just isn't doing much for me.

They played in my city today and I’m really sad that I missed them but I already had tickets for Silent Planet (which was really cool too but I like Drug Church way more) when they booked this show. Don’t know if I will ever have the opportunity to watch them again :gonk:

Bouncing souls, Lagwagon, Dillinger Four, H20 plus somebody else I cant recall play together at Stone Pony in August... may very well merit an overseas plane trip. It would leave me with just The Vandals to cross out my bucket list.

Stone Pony Summerstage is a really good time. Big, loud, (relatively) cheap beers.

not sure if anyone here likes MCR but the remix of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge leaked and it's on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE9FsMIPprY

it's actually a super audible difference. i'm not sure how i feel about it, i kinda liked how mid rangey and guitar forward the original was, but it's interesting at the very least

I've never had a bad time at a Bouncing Souls show, one of my favourite was when they did 4 nights in a row in London Playing 2 albums each night, I booked a lovely hostel it was the middle of summer, it was sweaty and gross but I had a great time.

I was on my own but had friends turning up for the gigs later in the day so during the daytime I'd hangout in Camden or on one day smuggled booze into london zoo with a few friends and got drunk with the animals

There was also a show they did in Brighton that was fantastic fun only for everyone I know there getting the Norovirus and spending the next few days throwing up

As someone who lives in hellstate I get it for sure. The counter is at least on a trip like this your money is going to genuinely good people, and Fest will always have the best vibes even in the worst times. Pockets of hope.

I’m already taking my annual trip to Vegas for Punk Rock Bowling and then volunteering to work Camp Punksylvania, so I’m not sure I could afford another festival. But yeah I know that the people running Fest are cool and I’m sure Gainesville is ok.
