I've heard about 7 of those bands and actually listened to maybe 5. Of course in 2006 I was 16 but only into British 70s punk and whatever local hardcore bands there were*. This entire scene passed me by entirely. I once went to a show where a band spent about five minutes explaining in great detail the story behind a song and who wrote it and why and then the song itself was less than 3 seconds. A great bit.

The Listmaker (who was in every band marked with a ^) left out Muck for being borderline but admitted that along with Logn, Grafnár, and Tentacles of Doom they could be just as easily included. Fighting poo poo are notable because BAFTA winning composer Ólafur Arnalds was their drummer.
