So new Dead to Me leaked/is streaming. The first listen didn't blow me away like Cuban Ballerina did. But after a couple of listens, it's grown on me like crazy. I still miss Jack, but after i got over his absence, I think they're moving in a really good direction with this album. Any other opinions?

I like The 4-Skins, but they are a bit too aggressive, I'm looking more for the up-tempo Voice of A Generation kind of stuff. Try Criminal Damage from Portland.

Also I just found out Lemuria is going on tour again, I haven't seen them since that show. Everyone but AJJ? You should give them another listen dude, you're missing out on a crucial band.

Rooney McNibnug posted:I don't know, I'm not sure AJJ qualifies as a 'crucial band'. It's definitely something that took me while to get into. I feel like they've informed a good deal of music in the scene recently, but that may just be me. I'd also say that Can't Maintain might be a better intro, since it's got more electric stuff to draw PUNX in. Dunno, just a thought.

Blackbird Raum, Hail Seizures, Dandelion Junk Queens, Bread and Roses, Rosa, The loving Buckaroos, Wingnut Dishwasher's Union, Mutiny, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb. Those are all over the folk punk spectrum, so i'm sure some will work for you, assuming you don't already know them all.
