I was debating posting in the general metal recommendation thread but I figured I might have better luck here. Can anyone recommend me some super noisy black metal like this album by Vorpal Sword?

I really like how blown-out and distorted the production is on this. I've checked some of his other stuff and it's all good, but I'm curious to see if there's any other bands out there that walk the line between out-and-out noise and black metal. The only other band I could think of that plays in this style is Ancestors. Most of the other "blackened punk" bands don't really bring enough distortion for my taste.

Appreciate any recs if you've got 'em!

I've had some time to poke through your recs. I'm really digging Arnaut Pavle, Ilmestys, Moonstalker and Revenant Marquis. Good stuff, thanks a bunch. I was digging through my black metal albums for more stuff in this style and came across some more bands that do that super distorted thing that I like:
The Mausoleums https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAdlNHx2Z1g (I wish I could find their second album. I know it's out there somewhere....)
Njiqahdda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXCUJeo5Iwo
Mhnunrrn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdcG2bXqlnE (this is SUPER noisy)
El-Ahrairah: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIw2C44wewc
Ancestors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5hebqHvbEk

I'm just dropping it here because it seems we have similar taste so you might like something here

Thanks again for the recs!

You should probably listen to Belketre if you haven't, definitely the most distorted of the LLN bands . Maybe Ildjarn as well since that's the main influence on a lot of the noisy black/punk bands floating around. i don't know if i'm very convinced by a lot of the current bands doing this style but i quite liked Grinning Death's Head's older stuff, although the recent releases have sadly toned down the noise. the band Tsalal and some of the other acts on the same label(War Vellum) are doing very noisy blown out stuff although it is coming from a black/death sort of angle rather than nordic style black metal, there's a few bands from other places blending black/death with ultra noisy sound too. if you want actual harsh noise/black metal crossover(something that has very rarely been done well) then Wold were really good. if you're not strictly wedded to second wave type bm then there's a lot of other hosed up distorted sounding black metal adjacent bands like Gonkulator or Black Mass of Absu you could listen to

First off I love Belketre and most of the LLN. I'm really digging that Grinning Death's Head demo. I have no idea what the gently caress is going on with that Tsalal album but I'm here for it, reminds me of abruptum, which is a favorite of mine. I'm gonna have to look around that label, seems like they do the kind of stuff I'm looking for. I forgot all about Wold when I was making my original post. Screech Owl is a fantastic album. I know of IIdjarn but somehow never got around to actually listening to them, I should probably fix that. Black Mass of Absu is a name I've heard before but never actually listened to. I enjoyed the track you linked so I guess I'll go check them out. Gonkulator is a new one on me. Also, if it's not too much to ask, could you elaborate on the "a few bands from other places blending black/death with ultra noisy sound too?" The only one I was aware of was Nthoganhyblitz or however you spell it but it turns out they were White Supremacists so that kind of sucked. I guess I'm just on a kick for this stuff right now for some reason.

Appreciate the recs!

White supremacist is a bit of a misnomer with Nyog because they're brown mexican dudes but they are definitely psycho fascists yes. Personally i tried to listen to their album anyway because i was curious but it wasn't very good because of the sound, it was lofi but in the laptop microphone sense rather than in the crunchy tape saturated sense, so it just sounded weak. if they'd recorded it to sound like a 90s Macronympha tape then they might have actually had something there. Tetragrammacide is an Indian band with a similar style, their early releases in particular were really noisy although they've toned down the ridiculous distortion as of their album so it sounds more like conventional black/death. there's a few other Indian bands in a similar style some of which share members, like Brahmastriker, Nirriti, Dakini and Kapala. Subduer are also similar although they're from germany. i don't know if i'm actually that convinced by any of these bands attempts to merge black/death with noise or power electronics but it's cool they're trying it out.

In case no one knew, this is a side-project of the man behind Kūka'ilimoku, and I think this record might even be his best.

Also, Indonesia has been absolutely killing it with the raw stuff
