Just got my grubby hands on Urkaos I. Just stellar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAwJgPY4AmM I'm also weirdly attracted to the Satanhartalt releases on Legion Blotan. It really reminds me of the more experimental/ambient LLN stuff like the Black Legions Projects Compilation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMtLuc1hPag

Weakling's album came out 4 years before WiiTR put out their first demo. Weakling is significantly better as well.

Anyone else looking forward to the new Cultes des Ghoules? I've got a feeling it's going to be one of the top releases of 2013. Now if HH would just repress the Spectres... EP.

Yeah, Emperor gets poo poo on a lot, but most of their stuff is great. The transition from Alsvartr to Ye Entrancemperium still gives me goosebumps. Hell, I even really like IX Equilibrium. Regarding symph-bm, if you haven't given Limbonic Art a shot, you should at least check out Moon in the Scorpio and In Abhorrence Dementia. Those are far more on the symphonic side of things, but are really good albums. Nokturnal Mortum's Goat Horns will always be my favorite symph-bm album though.

Morbid Florist posted:Mine showed up last night. This is really good. This album was way too hard to find for how good it is. My only beef is that the drums sound beyond fake, and it came with no liner, no track listing, zero. For $20 I at least thought I had the song names coming to me in print. Morbid Florist posted:edit: anyone see marduk/inquisition yet? I'm going tomorrow night and the number of bands is troublesome. I think inquisition is going to get 10 minutes, moonspell is going to yammer on for an hour and marduk...I have no idea what they're going to do. I'm worried about the same thing. I'll be seeing them in about a month. I'm sure Inquisition will get 30 to 45 minutes and Marduk will get at least an hour, but why couldn't they have left Moonspell in Portugal?

Weaponized Cum posted:Yeah let's not listen to cool music because they hate someone based on their race. gently caress God though, right? Isn't that a double standard? Just listen to the music, the message can either grab you or not. Listening to Arghoslent and Nokturnal Mortum haven't made me a Nazi or anything similar. I'm not arguing with you here, but how is it a double standard being OK with listening to blasphemous music (if you aren't religious, or even anti-religious) but not OK with listening to racist music? Atheism/LHP/Laveyan or orthodox Satanism =/= racism in my opinion. I could see you stating there is a double standard w/r/t anti-humanist sentiment in bm vs. racism, but that's not what you said. You also realize that you aren't listening to the music in a vacuum. You are supporting the bands and, by giving them money, any political or racial groups they may be affiliated with as well.
