In your example the group you describe absolutely is NOT black metal. In the purest form they are not and they never can be. They don't have all the pieces to be that genre, but even still labeling music is really lame and only should be used in the most generic of ways.
I wonder how much farther ahead music would be as an artform if people didn't treat it as something other than music and argued about it.
