I need advice on hemming especially stretchy knits. I've broken the thread on some spandex stuff because the hem isn't stretchy enough. I think I should try a stretch thread, but so far I am only seeing thread for sergers, and I am using a regular machine.

My hems come out nice and flat, at least. I am using a ballpoint double needle with a walking foot and a stretch stitch. What kind of thread should I be looking for, or is there anything else I can try?
