Haha, for what it's worth, black book value on it is roughly 1/2 of what he's asking...

I'd be willing to bet I could fly own there, buy it, drive back to Saskatchewan, and still be better off than buying one around here.

$3999 for a 26 year old VW that's been sitting for a while seems high to me...

I know they're rare beasts. I just thought $4k seems high (even though it is CAD).

it's certainly tempting.

I don't know any specifics about 535's, or BMW's, but 228K miles is not a small number....

Price seems in range for what it is.

FYI - I think the transmissions on these are fragile. My friend replaced the one in his CL not too long ago, but I don't remember the year...

Oh Alberta...

Jesus gently caress if you can afford to spend that goddamn much money on a truck and mods, then I would hope you can spell "vehicle".

I mean holy poo poo.

That car is nice and I know they are rare, but $15.5k?

Do people actually do that? Or are they just lying?

I grew up with my dad using Imperial MPG as a measure. AS long as you are comparing consistent units (and communicating this!) I don't see the problem.

We had, at the same time, both a 1985 Jetta with the 55hp NA diesel and a 1984 Landcruiser with the 74 HP NA diesel. The Land cruiser was a pretty awesome vehicle and easy to learn manual on. They were both slow as balls.
