I was checking out what was on Ebay today when my eyes glanced on this piece of absolute awesomeness... a 1970 MB 280SE convertible. Mint condition. I shall make it my life's goal to someday own that type of car and have a friend drive me around town just so I can sit up on the back seats and wave to random people. Almost $100k for a car that's a year older than I am might be a bit much, but drat that's a nice set of wheels.

And by that I mean an Isetta that has had "some mods done to it", is missing side windows and the roof panel, has some holes in the body (filled) and in the floor (not filled)? Too bad it's in French so you can't appreciate it as much as I do, but this ad has it all -- all caps, numerous misspellings, no mention of engine or transmission, over 100k miles, and it's a 12-year-old A4 -- meaning that the engine may still run but nothing electric in the car is likely to. Oh, and the ad says the guy's never had any problems with the car, but the best picture he has of it was taken in a garage, and not a dealership garage either by the looks of it.

There's that word again, "invested". I can see it becoming more popular -- "I struck out last night so I invested $7 in a porno mag", "I invested two hundred bucks at the casino last night", "I've got a lot invested in this pimp suit", etc. It makes as much sense as saying "I invested money in a neon green paint job for an old pickup".

I couldn't help noticing that it's been rendered completely useless as a truck. Literally you couldn't carry anything in the bed since it's going to fall through the holes in the bottom. The work of a great man of genius, this.

Sir Tonk posted:And how much crap would end up in that bed if you actually drove that thing in the rain? Not much as the guy cut most of the bed to accommodate the retardedly-big wheels, so whatever falls in would just fall through. The whole bed would probably warp out of shape and wreck the tires/wheels if you hit a big pothole. The guy appears to have just cut it and not reinforced it to compensate for the loss of structural strength. I think the guy's trying to sell it because he suddenly realized how completely retarded the whole premise of this truck truly is.
