Real gold maybe? Or are these total dogs?

Mine has been nothing but fun since I've had it but it was rust free and had one bent valve for $1100 so you can get more for less and likely with lower mileage too. It is down on power though, the NA version was rated at 160hp from the factory which is a little disappointing. If I could do it over again I'd start with a turbo model in good condition.

1960 Corvair Lakewood model 700 station-wagon. 72,000 original miles. Has not been run in 30 years at least. Engine is not stuck but I've never tried to get it running. Standard-shift (not auto). I'm cleaning some stuff out and am going to scrap it unless someone wants it as project just to tick off Ralph Nader. I got it from an old lady who made a sort-of shrine out of it. Told me her husband bought it for her as a birthday present and then dropped dead of a heart attack a week later. So, she never drove it again and it sat rusting in her yard. That was late 1970s. Has 72,000 miles on OD which is probably true. The old lady is also now deceased and I have no papers for it.

I don't know how valuable these are, but the price seems reasonable at 550$.

I am so starved for any glimmer of automotive hope in the Northeast in March.
