I would drive the gently caress out of that Superman car, plus i have the parts to fix it. I'd want to fit 24's with a different offset than it currently has because those wheels look off in the pictures. Price is completely crazy though.

It's on eBay but i know a lot of people here like little strange cars. http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZdgconnectionQ2d2008 This guy has four different Chevy Turbo Sprints for sale. I've never actually seen one before but it's small and turbo so someone here might be interested.

I've emailed and talked to the seller up until it sold but i did not buy it. No matter what i bid the guy who won would outbid me almost instantly so once he bid it above 10k i bowed out. It would have probably went for a couple grand more if i would have kept bidding. We actually may have located a similar one closer to my location so i think he's going to check it out and see what he can get it for. He was prepared to go over 10k but i wasn't considering the guy i was bidding against really wanted it worse than i did. I set a hard price of what i want to pay and once it gets there i'm done and this was one of those cases.

IOwnCalculus posted:Well, apparently that guy didn't want it bad enough, since it's back up with a screenshot of the email the seller received Already at $8k. I don't want to talk poo poo but it's pretty convenient i get outbid within minutes of every one of my bids and then when i get outbid by two bucks over ten grand the winner backs out. I told the seller i was willing to go to fifteen grand so that makes it look even more like a shill bidder was jacking up the price to get me to fifteen grand.

My mullet is definitely not bitchin' enough to drive it the way it sits so it will be redone before it hits the road. It's a 305 carbed '87 in the original yellow, '87 is the last year for that color so it will probably stay. I already picked up all the parts to fix it up also. I got doors, suspension, fenders, Harwood 4" cowl hood, Iroc nose, and lower front ground effect.

What sucks is i paid more for the parts than the car, $550 for all the parts. I got lucky on the parts since a local guy was parting out his freshly restored car because he needed the money for a different project. $700 is a good deal if the body is solid, a drivetrain swap is simpler than fixing rusty quarters. I really didn't want a yellow car but this one pretty much fell in my lap with the options i wanted. I just wanted a Camaro with T-tops and a carbed V8 that ran and drove. I was just in the right place at the right time.

RARE!! 1984 bmw 318 dinan turbo 1 of 1 ever made - $3000 (east canton) I know the original owner of this car, my brother in laws mother is the original owner and then he bought it from her when she got a new BMW. This was a fast loving car in it's day, hell it was still fast as gently caress ten years ago when the turbo was still on it. She got taken advantage of by a garage, that's why the turbo is missing. He told her the turbo was bad and he switched the car to na but never gave her back the turbo. The car was still quick without it but it was a loving rocket ship with it. http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/cto/1824881651.html quote:
He didn't have a garage and lives in a shady neighborhood and he sold it so that it could be restored by someone who had the time and money. I would have bought it myself but i didnt know he sold it until after the fact. I texted him today to confirm it was his old car and he couldn't believe it, he kicks himself daily for selling it. The car is rough, lovely paint, worn interior, and engine needed rebuilt last time i drove it. It has dinan suspension also if i remember correctly because it has always sat way lower and rode much stiffer than other BMWs of the same year. I would do bad things to this car if i could get it for $1500 - $2000, it's not worth even that much if he didn't fix the issues it had it was sold. I just remember how cool it was back in the day.

I'm not gonna bid against you so you better win this thing, i was gonna pull the motor and sell the shell. I'd rather someone buy it to use as a driver.

My brother does the trade thing but he does it without looking for anything in particular. He has owned everything from an Explorer with 38" tires to a late model Jaguar all by trading even up or trade plus less than $500 cash. He has had at least 20 cars in the last two years.

No, he isn't that ambitious by a long shot. He just sees stuff that people are willing to trade and calls them up if he's interested. The worse they can say is no so it's no big deal. He has a reliable driver and a company vehicle so it's not like he's taking a big chance. A guy that works for me does something similar but he will put out cash if he sees something he can flip.
