I really wish this guy had included a picture with this. http://janesville.craigslist.org/cto/1403028748.html Am I wrong in thinkging a VW thing would be a blast to drive around in? On the other hand, this thing is a crime against nature. Funzo fucked around with this message at 22:15 on Oct 2, 2009 |

When will people stop doing this to perectly good cars? http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/1438706490.html Probably should have spent the money on getting the hood to fit right instead

I know this is a nervous breakdown waiting to happen, but I still sort of want this http://rockford.craigslist.org/cto/2547520485.html No exhaust, power steering leaks, needs a windshield, and the seat mounts are probably a pile of rust, but all the expensive things have been taken care of already. I can only guess what other horrors this is hiding.

Awwwwww yeah... http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/2544325349.html Who the hell dumps $15k into a Cobalt? I do like that he helpfully listed the approximate price of each "MOD", and that he lists Stock Tint as a selling point.

There's no listed price, which s probably for the best. This way I can pretend I could afford to buy and drive the gently caress out of it every day. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/ctd/2653793601.html

Here is possibly the most honest ad I've seen. If I had the skills to do this I'd be all over it. I know it would sit in a pile of increasingly rusted parts in my garage for years though. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/2672565607.html

Not Craigslist, but holy crap. http://janesvillekia.com/vehicle_preowned/vin/?vin=1C3BC55GXDG180186 I have seen this car, and it is glorious in it's unapologetic 80's-ness.

So what are people using to search multiple Craigslist sites? It's a pain trying to hit different cities to looks for stuff, but I can't find any decent sites that crawl different listings. Everything I've found looks terrible is difficult to use. Hoping some goons have better sources.

I drove past this place on the way to St. Louis and back last week. If I had more time I would have stopped in. Lots of really cool stuff listed, although I don't know if the prices are in line or not. I wish I had the money for one of the old VW squarebacks though. http://www.countryclassiccars.com/

If I take the back road to work after going to get coffee, I drive right past what I am almost certain is an old Audi Quattro. It's sitting in the parking lot of I think a pipe making company. It's been in the same place every time, and I doubt it's moved, since it's covered with snow. So tempted to stop and see if it's for sale and how much the owner wants for it. If the owner has any inkling of what it is, I'd never be able to afford it, and finding any parts would be laughably difficult, not to mention exorbitantly expensive, but I still really really want that car. It wouldn't be that hard to put in modern components right? Right?

Fiat shell for $5000? Sure, why not? "No rust but it looks like a little metal was cut out of the floors." Naturally, the entire back half is rust. Also, there's no motor, or interior, or much of anything else. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/4897671482.html
