Yeah, they don't put out that much power, suck down gas, consume oil as part of being a rotary, and the automatic that's paired with it has even LESS power than the manuals and also sucks because you really have to rev the poo poo out of the car to get it going in the first place. I don't hate on autos, but the auto + RX8 is not a good combo by any means.

Plus the engine failure rates on the early automatic RX8s were pretty high from what I remember.
