An "85k" Chevy "Z06", that was not an available model in 2005, and also was not available as a convertible. It's a scam.

I doubt it's a scam. Just a very stupid owner.

Sometimes they'll even go so far as to try and make it a narrative, or sprinkle them around through the rest of the ad.

You should put the link up so that other people here can flag it, too.

I would actually love to see a thread posting those ads so we can form a coalition to flag them. I loving hate keyword spammers.

How much is his car actually worth? I mean it is pretty good looking, and at least before the recession came on full force Fox bodies were inflating pretty quick.

You can get an honest to god 8 second one for just a little more:

I've really been considering picking one up for old time's sake (1990 5.0 was my first car).

Can anyone dig up the auction results from the GM concept auction earlier in the year? I bet this guy originally picked this up for half what he's asking.

True gold.

Such an amazing car. I guess the SF Bay might be the one place where a craigslist ad for this might work.

I learned long ago to skip an ad as soon as they start saying "invested". They are always, always, ALWAYS hilariously overpriced and the owners refuse to budge.

I just found the most overpriced piece of poo poo I've ever seen in my many years on Craigslist.

I also believe it wins the "invested" contest:

2.4L 4 cylinder, Automatic with only 41k miles, Clean Title and Only One Owner. This car is really really rare and if you see it on the street ask owner if he wants to sale it 100% answer will be NO. I have all the records of the car, every oil change and tiers checks. here is the thing with the car: It has rear end damage not a big deal at all my mechanic said he will fix it for $1500 including parts. I just don't have money to fix it really don't want to let it go because car is in perfect condition super clean. Here are the big futures: Sunroof, cruise control, Sound system in the drunk and extra sound things under the seat, blue head lights, Rims, AC/Heater, AM/FM, Automatic mirrors, ABS (all 4 wheels), bar under the hood ( makes car take sharps turns without slighting of the road) ETC.... Everything works fine like I said car is in perfect condition. only thing is rear end.
kelly blue book price is over $9000 but this is not the car that you rate by kbb price it worth much more. I'm asking $6800 or best offer (please don't call me and offer me $5000) + I will hook you up with my mechanic I guarantee $1500 is the best price you will find. (familly friend) this car worth every penny!

Just found my old Lotus for sale. Wonder if he plans on mentioning the $14,000 wreck it was in?

Actual gold here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewItem&item=320869700941#ht_789wt_1167

2004 Noble M12 with some nice upgrades that sold for ~$35k. Actually kind of pissed that I missed out on this, but apparently it sold within 24 hours.

This actually makes me think that we should have a thread for actual good deals we've found around the internet but we won't personally buy. Might as well let screaming deals go to goons.

I've looked at a lot of for sale ads, but I have never, ever seen one that's lasted for nearly as long as this one:

http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46307

Over 7 years, and still firm on the insane pricing.

Looking on Autotrader, US-wide, for the mileage he isn't really asking that much more than anyone else with a 2000 for sale, except the lowest mileage one I saw was over 35k for about $58k

Those cars have all been for sale for a long, long time.

Why would he replace the water pump and timing belt at only 12K miles? Is that something you do after X amount of time regardless of how many miles it has been driven? I just don't get it.

The belt on these you are supposed to replace every 75k miles OR 10 years I believe.

EDIT: Another good NSX post: http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106962

Doesn't sell for 4 years so...let's raise the price?

I actually emailed this guy (because I'd actually be interested in the car if the price was reasonable) and he replied saying that he felt the cars were appreciating and that the lowest he could now take is $52k without the rims.
