I have no idea how it works (have no desire for anything JDM), but it was funny as gently caress that said friend with R32 GTR waited around 5 months to get some tie rods in.

I want to know how much of a deadline they had when they designed that cluster, and how much time they sat around not doing anything related to designing it. Although you can pretty much apply that to the majority of GM's products from the late 70s on. Octopus Magic fucked around with this message at 21:34 on Dec 17, 2011 |

Unlike the Delorean. Looking amazing/exotic is kind of a stretch for the Montecarlo/Scorpion, as it's hardly close to the Stratos. It was intended originally to be the bigger brother of the X1/9. Too bad it's pretty much choked down by all the period emissions and typical "Fine late 70s/early 80s" Italian craftsmanship. 2000 if it's really running amazing/everything else perfect might actually be worth it.

Problem with the 3000GT is it was essentially still basically a widened/Shortened Galant like the DSMs of the era, but with some different body work and the 6G. While the DSM cars could handle the weight, adding every technological and stupid thing you could get added up fast. They also rumbled around for about 10 years with the same basic chassis/suspension its entire run, although they got lighter as the days go on. I think people have gotten them down around 3100-3200lbs these days, depending on how much of a tin can you want to ride around in. http://www.jdm-option.com/eng/pickup/06_12/pitroad.html They can make a lot of power, but all and all I'd probably stick with a 4G63 car. I've kinda softened my haterade to them as I have to the R33 Skyline. Octopus Magic fucked around with this message at 07:20 on Nov 12, 2012 |
