86 MITSUBISHI STARION INTERCOOLED TURBO WIDE-BODY - $900

I'm going to go look at this probably, but it sounds like its beat and toast (lower end problems.)

I'd like to save the car, but he wants kind of a lot for non running car with a serious engine issue. He also seems to think the 86-87's are the better ones... (ever y starquest owner I know says prettymuch the opposite!

maybe, depends on fixibility of this vehicle, otherwise it willcome parts for my 83 (the 83 really wants that LSD and intercooler, oh, and the wheels, they are pretty sweet), its never a bad idea to have a spare turbo and head for these cars too...

Sweet! its like the Honda version of a VW rabit pickup.

I was looking at my 86 starion and thinking of ways I could modify it into a pickup, or maybe a cabriolet/targa/t-top type thing... I could turn a Starion into a Cabrion!
It would probably be too much work to make safe, so I probably wont do anything. but its fun to think about.

How is that possible, aren't these like $3000 brand new?

I was close, $3499 msrp, how can anyone think they'd get nearly double MSRP for a used bike? That is truly automotive insanity right there. Makes me want to call him and just hear his insanity in person. "Yeah I'm calling about the bike..." and just sit back and let the stupid flow over me like a cold mountain stream.

I think I've read here (ai) that they cant make them fast enough to sell new ones, popularity has pushed used price over new prices.

The same thing happened with the Prius, and tercel.

Heck, some folks seem happy to buy 20 year old geo metros for more than they cost when they were new!

If someone has to wait 6 months to get a new one, he may likely sell that bike for more than he payed for it (I dont know about $6k...)

And on a craigslisty note, about two months ago an illegal immigrant and his mother went to go buy a car for $300 from craigslist in the next city over. Just so you know, the "city" is known for its absolute trashyness and meth addiction. (Springfield Oregon)

Anyway, so the son and mother get to the motel that the guy tells them to meet him at, and after they pull out the money, the other guy and his buddy pull out some hammers and start attacking the son. Luckily the guy lived, but what the gently caress?

I didnt hear about that one... thats pretty messed up.
I always call it "sprungeld" but "springtucky" is more common. I know someone that calls it "meth and potholes springfield".

I wonder if its the same assholes that are kidnapping women and robbing them. there have been a few the last few weeks.

Help me Diamond plate my Jeep (se)

i have access to loads of scrap diamond plating and i want to use all these 4 x 2 and 3 x 3 remnants of plating to cover almost my entire jeep. inside and out..
my jeep inst pretty as is but has a good surface for us to start on.
so i supply the diamond plating , and you supply the experience and know how..
im guessing this might take a day to 2 days max..
willing to discuss a reasonable pay with someone..not looking to spend alot. maybe 10 bucks and hour and i supply beers.. should be a sweet project.
from what i hear diamond plating is easy to cut and mold but im not sure how to tack it to the car. do we weld it up or tack it up , screw?
this is why i need you , plus i have zero experience with cutting and molding the stuff..
