Would this be a bad decision for a winter beater/battlewagon? $700 A few cans of matte black would bring it right out.

Pilsner posted:Quite frankly, there's no point in putting an external amplifier and/or a subwoofer in a car, just get normal 5,25" or 6,5" speakers, tweeters and a decent headunit. Top of the line sound quality in a car is rather pointless considering all the noise you get while driving anyway, and it can play more than loud enough... unless you want outside attention from the bass beat, of course. I like the feeling of small subwoofer. I had a 200w 10" sub in my Grand Cherokee and rather liked it when paired with my aftermarket 6.5" speakers. Couldn't hear it outside the vehicle but give a nice rumble and produced sounds that the door speakers couldn't.

That really seems like an absurd amount of work and money for less than 200whp. I'm sure it'd be a great car and I know those are quality parts...but that's just ridiculous.

The only bad things with this car is the clear coat is coming off visibly and The hydralic arms that hold the hatch open are shot, they are around $15 new at oreilly. I will take a reasonable cash offer but it will need to be real close the $1500 ballpark. I have put alot of time and money into this car and am sad to have to sell it. If someone had a lot of time/money to invest into that car, it could be very well worth it in the end. It looks pretty complete. Hell, even just parting it out would likely be pretty profitable.
