The wooden staircase in those videos was like something out of Nosferatu; I think that's where it came from. I also like the idea of a staircase not being 'quite right'-

However, rather than make everyone wait here's the rest of the cartoon. In the upper right hand corner Neverborn grabs Timothy by the collar and says "but...I want to live! I want to experience LIFE!" Timothy answers "Yes, I think I can help you..." In the last panel they're at a Coldplay concert and Neverborn says "Just kill me now."
