GOAL:Darth Volvo, blacked out and mean as hell. I want an R wagon but I don't want the AWD hassles and I do want suspension upgradeability. Rebuild from a minor wreck for a winter/daily driver. Upgrade from existing daily driver.
DIFFICULTY: Moderate, bolt-on repairs. No actual frame damage anticipated. More electronics than usual, which will be annoying.
COSTS: All I care about is that it comes out below retail, which is currently around $6k-8k according to autotrader. I just hope this one is cheaper than my last one. Edit: Costs to get it back on the road came to $6450. Not awesome but not a money loser either.

I pulled an old Subaru out of my front yard and want to get it looking nice. In Alaska, old beater Subarus are worth a substantial amount because even though they usually look like crap, they run and run.. and run. While the look leaves a lot to be desired, it's structurally sound, starts up fine, and mostly needs body work, some paint, and replacement of common components to make it reliable.

COSTS: Kind of lost count but as much is needed to make it work.

The original base care was a 71 beetle with an ample (aka a crap load) amount of rust on the pan and heater channels. Me and my dad found the '68 on craigslist with next to no rust and next to no engine, rear suspension, interior, or lights. The job has been a fun ride and we have managed to take the two cars and make them a great vehicle.

GOAL: Currently I just want to see everything run. The 56 IH I want to use for work since its a dump truck. The 26 IH I want to use for parades with one of my Locke reel mowers on the back. The 67 C10 will be restored someday. The 61 Apache I want to fix up for my great uncle since it was his dads truck. The equipment will probably fixed and used and the valuable things (like a Gravely I found) I will restore.

DIFFICULTY: Most likely these projects will consume most of the free time for the rest of my able-bodied life.

COSTS: I couldn't even begin to estimate this monetarily but it will cost me my sanity for sure.

GOAL: track car
