/\/\ If you're out of earshot of the city folk then you can do pretty much what you want. I can blast groundhogs all day with my Mauser and nobody will think twice about it. That's one of the joys of rural communities.

I'm going to have to really stress the point that those of you visiting Canadian Gun Nutz stay away from the "Articles" section of the forums. It is the private domains of the saddest hillbilly fucks that have ever walked this earth. You will find three kind of threads in there.

"drat Muslims, changin things!"
"drat Lieberals, changin things!"
"drat petty theft, we need CCW!"

Those three themes are beaten to death, every day, every page, every post! If you do sign up, just do like the other have said and stick to the equipment exchange and gun-specific forums.

Riflechair's Links: http://www.riflechair.com/
This has been composed by some guy who has taken every possible gun related web site link in Canada and put them all on one page. Some of them are inactive, but pretty much every vendor, forum, and org is listed there.

Important legal matter for the newbs!

You can't shoot people outside of your house so keep that poo poo locked up and out of sight. Yes, you can legally drive with a non-restricted sitting in the back seat, but that won't stop a power mad OPP officer from taking it, and you requiring a lawyer and lots of money to get it back. Put it in the trunk, and lock it.

Just a little preview for December 2008

Hello, 911: What is the nature of your emergency.
Oh my god! Thersamnwthamachnguninth. . .
Maam, please slow down! Tell me again.
Machinegun! A man with a machingun, tried to kill me, in a field.
Ok, maam, where are you, we're going to send the police right now.
I'm home, I was in my car.
Did he try and carjack you?
I never stopped.
What?
I was driving by this field and saw him with this machinegun. It must have been an Army M-16.
You sure he had a gun?
IT WAS BLACK!
Ok, where was this field? We're sending the Tactical Team right now!

Coming to a rural communtiy an hour outside of Toronto this holiday season!

Before I left I was getting really sick of the, "Harper is an idiot" stuff. I'd then ask, "oh, what did he do that you disagree with?" which is usually met with silence or a "he's just a Bush wannabe!"

If anyone ever says they vote NDP I usually have to repress the urge to spit in their face. I can see people around my age (20's) who don't really remember Ray Days, but anyone over 30 is worthy of a nice lugie! I can see voting Liberal. If it wasn't for the sponsorship scandal, the 13 years of doing NOTHING with regards to the environment, education, healthcare, the neutering of the armed forces, constantly attacking our closest ally and trading partner, incessant bans, and anti gun stance I'd vote for them.

The problem with these parties, especially the NDP is that they decide to allocate huge figures to healthcare and education and the environment (not too bad), but where does the money come from? Well they love to impose huge taxes and fees and other money grabs against big business and specifically the manufacturing and resource oriented industries.

They say, "look at all the money big business is giving us now, we can spend it every year on more health care and education and the enviro. . . Hey! where do you think all you big businesses are going? Where are we supposed to get our sweet taxes from now?"

Personally I love Layton. Anyone less retarded at the forefront would attract more votes. Same goes for Dion.

Lets see how the NDP will run things.

quote:

Layton's plan calls for the creation of 150,000 daycare spots in its initial stage and sets a goal of creating a space for every child in Canada. It does not specify how much additional funding would be required to achieve that goal, but Layton said the NDP would target as much as $50 billion in corporate tax cuts to fund their promises.

Hmmm, make it $50 billion dollars harder to have a business in the country. Sounds like a good idea.

I'm not saying that the government should be bailing out every company and business that makes a mistake, or that all our tax dollars should go directly to inviting industry in Canada. . . but the NDP are a one trick pony.

In a way, I love Layton. It's things like this that ensure he gets almost no money from people who have it to donate.

The Liberals and NDP usually wait until the general public make up their mind on an issue before pledging to act up on it (the way 51% or more of the population wants them to) before not doing anything about it.

Remember the helicopters Mulroney was going to get? The liberals canceled the order, incurred that huge fine, then realized that the Canadian public would like it if search and rescue could save lives. They spent the next 13 years throwing money at any Quebec firm who wanted to do a feasibility study on the issue instead of actually buying the loving things. In my opinion the Liberals and NDP are a lot alike with the exception that the LIbs actually know how economics work.

If Layton were in power he would boast about preserving the arctic, making sure it stayed our sovereign territory and all that crap. Then he would have the navy scrapped, the metal from our warships and subs turned into heroine needles, then filled up with heroine then given to junkies. At the same time he would give everyone in a trailer claiming back problems who hasn’t have a job in 15 years all the money the CPC planed on using to save the economy.

So expect to see Gtab voting NDP this year!

Anyways, I see there being a honeymoon of one year with this unholy alliance, in that time there were be some serious left wingers stuffed into the senate, tons of money pissed into the wind, lots of infastructure put back into the Liberal kickback/donation machine, and finally something really really bad to do with gun laws.

$5.00 says an outright Ontario ban on handguns within 6 months, and nation wide all semi rifles and shotguns changed to restricted, all current restricted semis changed to prohibited, and all current prohibited weapons shot into the sun.

To be more current, I'll state once again that firearms issues aren't my biggest concern here. It's the fact that the Liberals and NDP will be forming another minority, no better than the Conservatives, and handing the keys to the Bloc. Same here, I like my guns and all, but it's not my biggest factor when voting by a long shot.

For me it was the Liberal entitlement, that "Hey, we are the ruling class of Canada" and their enormous infastructure of kickbacks and bribes, pandering to Quebec like nothing else, constant american scapegoating, and their total ignorance of anything happening West of Barrie, or East of Vancouver. Also their total disregard for the military and rural communities.

With the NDP, just look at what they did to Ontario and BC when they were in power there. Industry either dried up, or shipped out. They have no concept of how the economy works. They would empty the nations wallet while at the same time making sure there was no way to refill it.

It's just a bonus for me that the CPC seems to tolerate guns, and they are not the Libs or NDP.

As far as Harper goes, I am in the same boat as Gtab. He did a 180 with the income trust, but from what I read on the subject there were some companies really milking that, and there was a real possibility it could lead to some serious problems.

And the "wiretapping". If it's true what the CPC said, the guy was invited, and recording the conversation is legal. Although they should have known that everyone would forget the whole, "Lets topple the government talk" and instead focus on the Nixon angle. Scummy and stupid, but not "evil".

In the 13 years they were in power the Liberal's legacy was of corruption (adscam) and doing nothing with regards to the environment and pretty much everything else. Look at the money we lost on that helicopter deal default, and in the 13 years they were there, promising to get replacements all they did was hire firms in Quebec to do feasability studies on the subject at great expense to the taxpayers, which probably was then used for those big-rear end donations to the party. In the end, they more or less discovered that the ones the Tories picked in the early 90's were best for the job.

Either way, if the colition works for more than a year we will see some laws/regs that will seriously hamper our sport.

p.s. Who want's to bet that Wendy's panties are wetter than fish piss right now with the thought of that fat federal money pouring back her way again? Also Miller and MCGuinty are going to get that handgun/semi ban, and nobody in the federal government is going to stop them.

Wasn't the NDP the original blocking factor for property rights when the Charter was still open? If I remember, (and this might have been from CGN so feel free to jump in a correct me) but they were opposed to the idea of property rights because they wanted to be able to seize capital from businesses to redistribute to the government and people. All this assuming they ever had the power to do so.

I think that the Libs are going to take a huge dive over this, possibly shattering the party itself for a while, not before doing serious damage to the CPC.
