Do you see the problem?

Conscious of pain, you're distracted by pain.
You're fixated on it. Obsessed by one threat, you miss the other.

So much more aware, so much less perceptive. An automaton could do better.

Are you in there?

Are you listening? Can you see?

Good thread, I just came here to ask for recommendations in a similar manner. I've recently watched House, which I was completely addicted to despite my general dislike of hospital/drama shows (I wish they make a House in Space spin off). I've been watching Stargate Atlantis and I finished the 3rd season today. It's awful. I need a break before moving on to season 4.

I think I'll start watching The Shield and Six Feet Under. Thanks, thread!

Has there been a good SciFi show after BSG? Is anything on at the moment at all? (trying to lessen the shock of BSG ending soon)

No one's making SciFi anymore, huh. That sucks.

I've been enjoying Continuum a lot recently. They somehow manage to implement a lot of fun sci-fi stuff and intelligent plot and action into the standard American TV mold.

Just jumping in here to say that season six of True Blood was one of the worst seasons of anything I've ever seen on TV.

Be warned.

Is there a place where people rate specific seasons of shows? It's usually either the show itself or specific episodes.

I'm wondering since, after watching and greatly enjoying the first two seasons of Sons of Anarchy, the first 4 episodes of seasons 3 have bored me to tears and I'm wondering if it's just me.

Does Defiance have some backstory that I'm supposed to know about that isn't told from the first episode and on? They keep talking about the arc and Votan races and stuff but I don't know what's going on.

I assume it may be intentional, but at this point (finished ep 7) it's getting a bit lame. While the show mostly focuses on the city and its various races and how they deal with their post apocalyptic(or whatever) life, the backstory plays a large role and leaving it as a mystery is just a poor writing/plot device.

Not revealing parts of the story is really the worst way to build interest in it.
