Mu Zeta posted:I read that they are writing him off in some online webisode and it won't even be in the proper show. They are also replacing him with some guy with a similar personality. Sucks. While he grew on me he definitely wasn't my favorite character. Though replacing him with a similar personality type is a bit of a disappointment.

Just started watching Jericho, about halfway through the first season. Not bad, there is a lot of potential, but some of the story lines are kinda meh. I guess I've watched enough tv now that I can guess when something is going to happen.

Hey did you know Jack is gay, well I said it last sentence let me remind you right now! Though Children of Earth was pretty awesome and showed what kind of potential Torchwood could have, I couldn't make it past episode 4 of the new one. A for series I binged through almost everything of Eureka. I'm kinda sad that I didn't watch this from the beginning. The only annoying thing I have with it is Felicia Day. There is just something that rubs me the wrong way with her.

richardfun posted:I'll say what I've said before. Give the new Nikita a try. It's only two seasons in, so not too hard to catch up with. And it's so much better than I ever expected it to be. Plots are properly thought out in advance, twists will hit like a brick but make total sense, considering hints you didn't previously pick up on as hints. I just finished the first season since it was Netflix. I really enjoyed Nikita, specially the last 10 or so episodes. They worked really well and there wasn't really any meh moments for me. Hope season 2 gets added soon.

Is the general consensus that you should start with TNG as a new viewer? I've talked to a couple Trekkie friends and that's what they recommended. I was in the same boat. Saw a few episodes here and there, watched a bit of the original series and really nothing else, besides all of the movies. Just be warned the first 2 seasons are a bit rough but 3-5 have been outstanding for the most part.
