Yeah that's totally fair, but I think it could be done. I mean there are plenty of gambling series where a single game takes an entire volume+, I don't see why the same couldn't be done for Go. Don't have to explain every single move obviously, but could just go into detail on the specific key points in a match. Try to portray the excitement of a complicated fight, or finding the perfect play to attack a weak group while reinforcing your own, etc.

I'm all for it being made, I think it would be cool if the manga expected you to grow with it but I think that's a place where you can again lose casuals. But as a reader I'd get bored if everything was still for a ddk reader

I wanted to order some Go books from Kiseido for Christmas, to the US. Has anyone done so recently? If so, were the books tariffed? The website just says "The buyer is responsible for any taxes, custom fees, or brokerage fees charged within the buyer's country", but that doesn't really tell me if there are current tariffs being charged in the US.

IIRC they switched to a print on demand model a while back, which is an interesting way to avoid tariffs. I also think books are largely exempt from tariffs?

But email them, Richard Bozulich responds pretty quickly.

Yes, the quality is hit or miss on the diagrams.
