"The Day I Tried to Live" means more like the day I actually tried to open up myself and experience everything that's going on around me as opposed to blowing it all off and hiding in a cave. Miss this guy so much & can relate to him after being diagnosed with ADHD, general anxiety with OCD tendencies & mild depression. Days can be hard but sometimes you gotta force yourself out of bed & "fake it to make it" regardless of how tough it can be.
