I just downloaded Hitman: Blood Money on Steam. What should I know?

-Upgrade your silverballers. Seriously. Make them your number one priority.

-The Syringes are your friends. You can sprint at people from behind and put them down swiftly a well as silently. Perfect for taking down guards when you're in a restricted area, or when you're just too god damned impatient to sneak up with fiber wire.

-Your RU-AP mines are incredibly versatile. Use them.

-If you're the patient type, you can learn a lot just by chilling out in the map menu. Guard routes become apparent rather quickly, and that can often mean the difference between Terrorist and Silent Assassin.

-Get used to loving up. It will happen. Gun everyone down and flee in a clown suit if that's what it takes to get the job done. Eventually you'll learn the ins and outs of the level, and then you can worry about that precious Silent Assassin rating.

Anything I should know about ToME?

Currently slaughtering everything with a dwarf berserker :black101: It seems pretty easy compared to Stone Soup, unless I wander into high level areas.

E: How do I use gems? Is this the kind of roguelike where I should consult the wiki constantly to avoid quaffing a potion of horrible death or something?

There are no consumables in ToME. Most of my bullshit deaths have come from champion monsters who rolled really frustrating combinations of classes [My roommates actually experienced a combo in which the monster in question had an infinite number of attacks per turn, but that was months ago and I assume it was patched]. Resist are really your friend, as there's a few bosses that will dogfuck you without being prepared for them, but I made it fine through most of the game by just tossing out the occasional question in the built-in chat client.

As for gems, if you manage to find an alchemist to escort, he can teach you the ability to slot them into gear.

SA had a pretty good ToME thread with people a lot more knowledgeable than myself, so you may want to check that out.

I'm feeling a little burned out on Monster Hunter, so I thought I'd boot up the one other game I have for my WiiU: ZombiU. Anything I should know before going in?

Dark Souls 2 comes out on PC in 13 days, it's already been a month, what are some things I should know?

(I've beaten Dark Souls a few times.)

The game expects you to spend levels: this is reflected both in the much more gradual increase in the soul requirements per level and in the soul memory system that matches people in for multiplayer by how many total souls they've acquired, not their SL.

Melee damage types matter a lot more this time around. Big armored dudes that shrug off sword blows will not stand up to repeated hits with a mace or club.

Elemental damage on weapons now scale off caster stats.

Poison is initially terrifying for the unprepared, but can be easily counteracted by popping a couple lifegems.

Some of the best farming areas won't open up until you've cleared "the big four" so keep advancing if you want the best toys.

Dex builds struggle early on due to a lack of weapons with good scaling.

I'm going to start the first The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing with all the DLCs. Don't know if I want to play a melee, ranged, or magic build yet. Any character creation tips or opinions on playstyle?

If I recall correctly you can actually end up with the biggest bang for your buck by dumping more or less all your points into body with perhaps a few sprinkled into luck. Mine ended up being pure body while one of my roommates did 3/1 body/luck and we both did fairly well.

I know it's a fairly recent title, but does anyone have any broad advice for Xenoblade Chronicles X?

Anything I should know before diving into Dishonored 2? Do I need to reign in my bloodlust to get a happy ending like in the last one?
