I'm about to start Two Worlds II. I didn't play the first one and I was wondering if there's anything I need to know beforehand. I just got finished with Divinity 2: DKS. Is TW: II anything like that?

Anything for Cities XL Platinum or NBA2K14? I recently picked them up and...have no idea what I'm doing. For NBA, specifically, I don't know how I should make myPlayer

On the same note, I got NBA2k13 and was intimidated by the number of commands. Even doing the training camp didn't really help me remember anything, and the complexity just makes me want to put down the controller and pick up a real basketball instead.

I haven't played 2K14 yet but I have put over 100 hours into MyPlayer 2K13.
- If you aren't familiar with basketball at all I'd advise you to make a Point Guard or Shooting Guard for your first time through. They are far by the easiest to do well with without knowing all the complexities of your role.
- As a PG or SG you can spend most of your time facilitating on offense. So once you get the ball, which will happen almost every play once you get a few games in with a team, you can either wait for one of your teammates to lose his defender and pass him the ball or wait until the paint (the colored rectangle under the basket) clears and just run in for a quick layup.
- You don't have to memorize most of the crazy ball handling skills to be good at the game. The only ones I regularly use are the spin move, a full circle on the right analog stick, or a half spin, which is a half circle on the stick. These tend to lose most defenders unless you're already running straight into them.
- The B button on xbox also serves as a good way to lose defenders. I can't remember what the exact command is but an effective way to get open when you go to shoot is drive into the basket, stop, press the b button, and then attempt a shot. Generally, your player will do some sort of juke or fake step to lose the defender.
- If you really want to make things easy for MyPlayer, create a shooting guard with the three point specialist template. Just sit outside the three point line every play and rain threes on your opponents as you score 60 every game.
- On defense, you just want to make sure you stick with your assigned man. He'll have his name under him and there should be an arrow pointing at him if you're not right next to him. Just keep yourself between him and the basket. Most times you can stand next to him and press the guard closely button, right trigger on xbox, and follow him around. Also, you'll want to try to keep your assigned man from getting inside the paint if a shot bounces off the rim or something. Again, just stand between him and the basket.

I hope this helps.

Anything for Shin Megami Tensai IV? I'm only a few hours into the game, around level 8.

Any tips for The Guild 2? I bought the entire collection recently and I've been messing around with Renaissance and the Legacy mod but it seems like a whole lot is left unexplained. I have a crypt and a church but really don't seem to be making much money.

You'll want to spend some time with each character because they all have universal passive skills that you can unlock. Some of these really help in later areas.

Getting absolutely railed in Divinity Original Sin 2. My buddy and I are playing co op on tactician (we completed D:OS without much issue).

I think the divinity thread would give more helpful long term advice.

Anyone have any tips aside from what's in the wiki for Ys VIII?
