This one is very easy. I can't recall the artist or name of that series of photos of very realistic looking sculptures. The most memorable one is a reclining, floppy eared, flesh-tone pig / dog / human thing that is suckling a bunch of young. Another, which I am not sure if it is by the same artist, is of a large octopus coming through a doorway.

That's Patricia Piccinini, and the sculpture is called "The Young Family":

Not an Internet thing, but maybe I'll have some luck asking about it.

I remember an episode of that old show "That's Incredible" about how a guy was able to figure out when a group of progressive slot machines was going to hit the jackpot. I believe the casino was Ceaser's and he won a million dollars. (The jackpot was something like $800,000+, but they rounded up.) They didn't explain how he did it, but I assume he had some info on how they generated the pseudo-random numbers and was able to determine the seed(s). They mentioned he wrote a computer simulation of the slot machines and knew how many pulls it was going to take. That's the only conceivable way I know it could have been done legally.

Tried googling for this episode and came up blank. Any child of the 80s remember this?

I have found mention of the episode, which seems to go under the title "Millionaire Payoff/Cusa Cure/Double Dutch followup". I can't find any more details than that. I'm not sure if you have it in your area, but here the Detroit ABC station carries the Retro Television Network on one of it's sub channels. RTN is showing old episodes of That's Incredible on the weekends.
