Gently enveloping the target with indiscriminate love.
I am right now switching from Opera to Firefox. Been at it for a week, and I got used to most things that I couldn't change.

Things I got used to:
Tab groups work totally different. But I think I prefer Firefox' way.

Things that still annoy me:
Firefox sync is pretty flaky, and can't exclude options per machine.
Mouse gestures don't work on my speeddial on my linuxbox. It works on my windowsbox.
Feedly is OK, but I still would prefer something more like Opera's rss reader.

Addons:
Adblock Plus
Add to Search Bar
All-in-One Gestures
Context Search
Customizable Shortcuts
Download Statusbar
Extended Statusbar
Flashblock
FVD speed dial
Open Bookmarks in New Tab

also, Rikaisama, Lastpass and SALR, but I already had them on Opera.

So I tried out Opera 17. It feels more different from my old Opera install then my Firefox does.
Probably won`t be changing back.
I had been using Opera since it became add-supported.

Interestingly I still think that Opera mobile is superior to the other mobile Browsers. Even with the bad lastpass support.

Firegestures seems to be able to do this. But it needs some complicated settings for this.

I think the problem is that even if this thread hadn't become "How to make firefox into an OK emulation of classic Opera" we would have "How to make new Opera into an OK emulation of classic Opera". Both are surprisingly hard work, and once you started on one, there is no reason to switch.
