Budget (phone/plan): I really don't know, $250-500? I paid $250 upfront for my last phone and I was happy with it at the time but that was 6 years ago and I don't know what things cost these days

Features I know I want: I don't like having to replace my phone so I just want something sturdy and reliable to dick around on the internet and play dumb little mobile games on that hopefully won't be completely obsolete in a year

Quick question. My wife's work is no longer allowing her to access her work email without installing device management software on her personal phone, which she is firmly opposed to. They're also not supplying her with a business phone. What's the best way to get a bare bones smartphone capable of running their device management app for email without having to shell out lots of $$$, ideally without having to pay for an additional line on our contract?
