Had to ditch my '97 ranger and '89 wagoneer but also picked up an '09 Suzuki SX4 for about 16k. You'll never find an awesomer car for such little monies.

But how much has "HURR, LOOK AT MUH HEMI" truck fagging grown since the 80s? I can't drive ten feet without having my zuk rammed off the road by a pimped out ram 1500.

Was the RB swap difficult? I had heard that RB's were too long to fit into Silvias. Also, did you use a regular RB25D head or a NEO head?

I don't know, but i love him for saying "pre facelift" instead of fagging it up with japanese words.

Very minor changes that seem to make a big difference made. Removed the plastic "skid plates", pulled off the roof rails and put screw caps over the studs, replaced the tacky dealer license plate frames with plain black metal ones and added a Boo, so you have no choice but to look.

What do you mean by 'heads started lifting'?

The earlier 6l PSDs had lovely head bolts and under load would let the heads lift off the block and leak coolant.

Look at that goddamn bracket for the tail light. Could they have made it any bigger or more awkward? Strip it down and it will look pretty sweet.

It's a basically universal rear fender for a UJM.

I plan on it. Since I had to drive it in snowmageddon last week I'm going to clean the frame and anything underneath I can reach with WD40 before I put it away for this winter. There is also one small ding I'm going to have taken out with PDR and a few scratches to buff out too. Yes I am a giant nerd.

Hosing it down with WD40 is going to do just about nothing.

What would be good to get the salt off from underneath? Ive rinsed it with a hose and the under car spray at the car wash. Maybe that's all I have to do?

Basically that. As long as it's clean and not in a humid place (ie don't run humidifier in your garage) it'll be fine.
