Or people could just not bitch and upload pics that are no larger than 800x600. I know the extra effort it takes to shrink pictures down and upload them somewhere has kept me from posting some pictures in the past -- and those pictures obviously weren't worth posting. I use a 1900x1200 desktop, but my web browser is typically somewhere in the 900-1200 width, SA forums don't cause sidescrolling, no matter where I have the windows set... it's a nice feature. And, as sigtrap pointed out, you can always link to high res pictures, if the pictures are worth it.

I wouldn't talk about that island here... it's a scary place.

I was really torn between a A6, S4, and an Allroad. The Allroad would be most practical, the S4 least practical, but most fun, and the A6 a good compromise between the two. I had a 2001 allroad 2.7T manual and my dad had a 2001 S4, both APR chipped. My preference is the allroad. That motor is so strong that it really doesn't show the extra weight of the bigger car... and a car as big as the allroad shouldn't move like that!

BMW requires you to stay under 5500rpm for the first 1200 miles and it only had 400 when I drove it. That is a definition of torture. I cannot wait until the break-in period is over, that car is going to be a monster.

This is by far the nastiest thing I've ever owned. I'll race anything, including bikes from a roll. A dig is a different situation. I weigh 3800lbs, so I don't move worth a poo poo till the turbo's kick in. I ran the 1/8th the other night, on 17lbs of boost (can run 32) I went 6.32 at 123 on those Invo's you see on the car. When I run past time, I'm hoping to hit about a 9.60 or so on those Invo's. I'm not going to turn the boost up, just leave it around 17. I misread and thought you were talking about the wagon being turbocharged and putting those numbers down. I almost fainted whilst clapping.

Nait Sirhc posted:Wasn't there a guy in this thread that posted ~6 of his dad's vintage cars? Yeah, but there's a big difference between "MY car" and "MY DAD'S car." Edit: Since we're talking about M3 wheels and MY DAD'S car, here's my suggestion for wheels. He had the stock multi-split-spoke 19" stock wheels and they were utterly abhorrent to clean. It honestly would have been easier to jack up the car, remove a wheel, clean it, then put it back on than cleaning the wheels on the car. He got these BBS GT-RS and I think they transformed the car. Note MY DAD took the pictures and I haven't talked him into getting full cars into frame yet. meatpimp fucked around with this message at 15:10 on Aug 10, 2010 |

I've said it whenever an old MX-6 GT pops up here -- mine was quite possibly my favorite car out of 25+ that I've owned over the years. Just for the shear beater-ness of it. I had some ghetto mods on it -- vacuum leak to just let it hit the factory boost-cut for boost control, Probe swirlies that rubbed bad in the rear, Yugo hood scoop for Cold Element Induction, etc... The car saw no love, was totally hammered on, all the time, and never missed a beat. I'm jealous, but lose the corksport sticker.
