Thanks for the compliments, Im pretty happy with how it turned out. Definitely a 10 ft'er, I bought it off some guys who used it as a yard truck, pushing around cars that didnt run, etc, so it had a poo poo load of scratches, most buffed out abut a bunch are through the clear, you can see them in these pics. Texas truck, so no rust at all, but most of the flat surfaces have hosed up clearcoat that kinda of stuff. Also was probably broken into a million times lol, both handles show it and I had to put rods in the passenger door. Here are some pics from when I got it and one next to the fullsize I was driving. I wanted to try out an extra cab, lay the seat back a little. 4.3 Vortec CPI all power, limited slip actually works, good daily.

Interior, needed Headliner heater core, turn signal switch, blend door motor, and a window motor. I ended up finding a nicer dash local, put in a new carpet, blazer buckets, and some charcoal colored switches/armrests for a little two tone look.

all done:

Other than that, cleaned out the EGR, runs mint, 146k, 3/4 drop, belltech SP shocks, late model mirrors and front bumper, molded steel pan, going for a 90's look :bahgawd: Ill edit in another pic after I clean it tomorrow, the wheels are p.dirty in those pics they pop when clean.

I used an American autowire highway 22 kit in a 53 Chevy it was an incredible kit. A little more than I needed at the time. I can definitely recommend them and I will use one of their simpler kits on my 51 I'm doing now.

Chevy trucks are the hottest thing going right now, aftermarket is huge even for that vintage, gonna be a lot of fun, nice buy.

51 Belair, got to roll it out and take it for a little rip yesterday. Borrowed some rollers to try some different tire sizes. Car had old bias plys on the front and tractor tires on the back lol. Clean up interior, run a new choke cable, new wide whites, clean up beltline rust under the trim, bolt on new bumpers and gonna run it for the summer.

Hell yes. What's under the hood? Stovebolt?

Yeah, the (probably)original 216/3 speed with 80k. Runs pretty good right now, even with the old Rochester B leaking like hell. Going to change the oil this weekend and try and do a valve adjustment as well.

15psi of oil pressure when I was driving 35-40mph, so I can't really ask for more than that. Got a tach to wire up as well.

Aren't transports also technically not rated for road use? Or is that just a side effect of the fact that they're technically not supposed to be sold?

Got another set of lower control arms, gonna build a 2" drop into them, a 235ci 4spd to swap in over the winter. Should really rip next year.

261 w/s10 t-5. I’ve got a 10 bolt out of a 67 Camaro I just went thru to replace the torque tube rear.

That’s some old satin paint on there now, shot well but the car was sitting outside for a while so it’s crusty under the beltline, and a couple spots are cracking. Plan is to flake the poo poo outta the roof and take my time on everything underneath haha. I’m gonna do the drivetrain now, then hopefully rewire it this winter.

I picked up this 52 chevy last fall, lowered it, new hubcaps and have been cruising it since. Has a nasty tree strike on the roof that i doubt I’ll be fixing. Pretty fun ride, stock drivetrain, steering is still tight enough and i found a nice guy at the napa counter to take the book out and look up some shorter shocks for me.

The car came with a front plate bracket so why not. Hopefully timg still works for thumbnails.

DEEP STATE PLOT posted:

i just bought a 2014 jetta sportwagen/golf variant, specifically because i wanted a car with a hatch and a manual transmission so i could finally retire my mr2 into the role of nice weather car while also having something actually useful for once. i initially wanted an impreza, but since all the imprezas i looked at had twice as many miles and cost twice as much, i went with this instead.

everything i've read indicates that the 2.5 is an extremely bulletproof engine and man having something modern feels nice, i love my sw20 and all but it sure does feel like a 30+ year old car.

These are cool and really torquey. One of the more common problems is the vacuum pump that ends up leaking oil like crazy. Not too much trouble to change though.
