I'm not a programmer, but the website lists a Technical Support Engineer position for the Dallas office. Do you have any pull with that department, by chance?

I do, but we are really trying to get a programmer in the door before we begin hiring more support staff. Feel free to apply for the Technical Support Engineer position but it may be a month or two before we actually hire. Its possible you could get an interview before then though.

Job Seeker

Where: Dallas, TX

Looking for: Datacenter operations or a Linux server admin (or various things involving hosting). Customer support/management is not out of the realm of possibility, either.

Experience: Close to 15 years of experience doing contract jobs for customers ranging from setting up LAMP stacks for various CMS, running and helping build/design/maintain a national platform used for marketing, to building out mail servers with SQL backends, to configuring and racking everything from standard servers, to racks and racks of muxes and channel banks for telecom installs.

Currently working for a webhost/dedicated server provider and find that I like the work, so looking for something similar.

When: I'd need to give notice at current job.

Check out the open careers at FireHost https://www.firehost.com/company/careers/current-opportunities (http://chc.tbe.taleo.net/chc05/ats/careers/searchResults.jsp?org=FIREINC&cws=1)

I know we filled the Lead Lab Engineer position but take a look at what else is open and feel free to shoot me a PM if you apply for anything and I can give the hiring manager a heads up.
