I've watched all of 24, and the first four seasons of The Shield. 24 is miles ahead at the moment.

Elisha Cuthberts character is quite possibly the stupidest character ever put on tv. That alone makes 24 much much worse than The Shield.

Did anyone else hate Army as much as I did? He didn't really add much to the show. It always seemed like he was boring and on the periphery most of the time.

He's a pretty important character to the series. His sidekick relationship with Shane is supposed to mirror the Vic/Shane relationship and show how horrible Shane is at trying to be Vic. He's also the reason the strike team gets back together. Army is basically a smarter version of Shane. If shane had left Vic years ago the way Army leaves then everyone would be better off, but instead Shane adopts this "all for one" poo poo that Vic constantly feeds him and everyone else. If the audience didn't have such a strong attachment to the strike team they'd probably like Army more for what hes able to do. But thats how the show works...you end up liking the bad guys more.

I don't know if anyone here will know the answer, but is the deal Vic made actually plausible in reality? Would the Feds (or whoever it was, I don't recall) actually offer immunity to someone without first knowing the crimes they were granting immunity for?

No. They would either A) already know everything you did before getting a deal or B) make you tell them everything you did before getting the deal. They're not gonna offer something like immunity then go in blind as far as what you did. Stuff like treason are pretty serious to where they wont give someone blanket immunity for it especially in exchange for busting some drug distributor. Even regular mafia type people who cooperate often don't get 100% immunity. I liked the finale but that part of it was pretty off the wall.

Anyone care to post what songs went with what montage? I can remember the songs but not the montage. I am listening to the concrete blonde song, and I can remember it making me almost cry.

Also, I loved the American Dad parody, I couldn't put my finger on what exactly it was a parody of he said something about coffee and "some people will lie, I was just seeing if you were a liar"

Edit: I just googled the concrete blonde song and realized it was on the ending. Correction, it did make me cry.

Season 1 had one mid season with this song only part i really remember is when they show the fat white bitch who kept switching between the two black guys shot dead. Edit: heres the scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_21jk9irrM

Season 2 finale used Overcome by Live

Season 5 when they talk about hiding Lem in Mexico they use Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins. I think that was a montage.

Dont remember any others off the top of my head.

Wasn't there one when the Strike team revenge beats some guy in a motel parking lot for some reason and they walk away with Shane stealing his ipod or something.
God I really need to rewatch this series again.

It never occurred to me how dumb this was when I originally watched it but in season 6 Julian goes from training officer to detective in 1 episode.

Isn't The Shield like a few years behind real world time since the whole show only spans like 3-4 years tops? So Vic would have been out of ICE for a while.

Also who else is excited for Rampart? Considering how much of the Shield was based on this scandal and how awesome Woody Harrelson is I cant wait to see this.

***Super Shield fan trivia time!!!! Any poster that can identify the three moments I'm referencing will win a gold star and the grand prize---full immunity from all crimes confessed to. I suggest probably wanna use spoiler tags for the explanations due to courtesy.

Bust a nut was the foster kid who raped the other foster girl then she had bleach poured down her throat by the other foster kids to cover the evidence I think.

Butterfly tattoos was Armadillo raping the girl and tattooing her cheek after he found out she helped the strike team with info or something or other

98 degrees was Billings recognizing a 98 degrees poster that his daughter had that was inside a pedophiles house that he made up to look like a kids room.

The last one might be off a bit I need to rewatch the series again soon.
