Betty Swallows posted:Why hasn't anyone posted/linked to the ultrasound images from the Facebook? You can see exactly how the head is...which is incredibly sad. T Yeah. It's bad. For those of you who haven't looked at the pictures of a hatless anencephalic baby, you should look at the ultrasound pictures. It shows you how bad it is but it's somehow a lot easier to stomach than the post-birth pictures. What gets me is, in that series of ultrasound pictures, she has other body parts pointed out with text, like "fingers! toes! bum! face!" as if having ten fingers and toes makes up for not having a head.

stonedpanda posted:I think this confirms it! I actually took the time to skim through most of this and check what I found... What a selfish son of a bitch. He knocked a (much younger) girl up with a traumatically disfigured baby and nowhere in that diatribe did he mention any inkling of responsibility for the baby or for the mother. It was all about him, him, him and HIS mental state and HIS salvation from God almighty and how it all turned out perfectly for HIM! Good thing God only punished that sinful whore!

Maybe I'm missing something, but are any videos of them preaching still up anywhere? I know the original links that bunnyskull posted have been removed.

"Now, to further complicate things... Faith theoretically doesn't have a hypothalamus or a pituitary gland" Yes, because the lack of a pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and the rest of the drat brain is just a COMPLICATION of some perfectly normal neonatal condition and not the CAUSE of it. I'll be really interested to see how far she goes to keep a pulse going in Faithy Hope Sunshine.

Came to post this. Clearly that title was not directed at Faithy Sunshine. I'm curious to know how "recently" she became a fundie. I can only hope that, 5 years down the road, she will grow out of her fundie phase and will be totally mortified at how she acted.

Soos posted:Out of horrifying curiosity I've been reading some of the other anencephaly blogs. While not as insane, they are still kinda insane. They're still pretty insane. This one links to another blog, "Caring for Carleigh", about a stillborn anencephalic baby that the parents apparently kept around for a few days after death. The pictures are horrifying; it's just a corpse well into decomposition. That blog also links to what is apparently her (healthy) daughter's blog. This post is from it: "Today I felt like a new person because my birthday party is this weekend! I can't have it because Noah might be born right on my birthday party." Poor girl. UserNameDenied posted:I skimmed by two of them and noticed that they are all die hard christians. Are there any written by more moderate/normal religious people? I'm guessing no. Not many normal people/moderate Christians would opt to carry one of these babies to term. Vehement religiosity is really the only reason you would.

ohnoyoudidnt posted:Exactly, that's what I mean - it's grief porn. That's a good way to put it. It's so twisted, how these people try to dredge emotions out of their living children over the doomed babies. Exposing your kids to a headless, purple corpse, calling it their brother, and making them feel bad for it cannot be healthy for them. They are the ones who will remember and be affected by the situation, not the brainless stillborn baby.

I like how Myah is asking the baby "Can you stand up?" when the poor thing's struggling to breathe. Faith has other things to worry about right now, Myah.
