 I assume this is the proper thread to ask this, please correct me if it should be somewhere else. Any recommendations for a free standalone IRC client for Windows 7? I've been using Pidgin for IRC and I like pretty much everything about it except that instead of sending multiple messages when I go over 250 characters in a message it just truncates to 250 and drops everything else. It's really annoying!

 Silly question, but is Windows 10 garbage like Windows 8 was? I'm almost tempted to buy Windows 7 for my new computer.
