A: No. In order to make sure that some random old beta file doesn't spectacularly crash something in an RTM install (which Microsoft will waste time and money trying to fix when they're called about it), a clean install will have to be performed.

Does this mean if I upgrade from Vista to Win7 RC, then I want to upgrade to the retail one, I have to do a clean install again?
