Unless you're using a CRT monitor, refresh rate is irrelevant.

LCDs run at 60Hz regardless of settings (unless it's one of those newfangled 120Hz ones), so setting the refresh rate wrong in Windows can result in duplicate/dropped frames.

confirmed, 7-zip's integration works fine in 7.

Worth noting: I had to run 7-Zip as admin once in order to get the integration and file associations working. This only seems to happen with the 64-bit builds.

Alcohol 52% is also good on Win 7, and supports mds/mdf files which VCD doesn't.

This right here folks, this is the one to use. It's free, supports tons of formats, and does a pretty decent job of actually reading discs too.

In case anyone still isn't using 7-Zip, it supports opening ISO files like archives and is handy for when you just need a couple of files out of something.

Edit: Linking to the free edition since they don't exactly draw attention to it on their site. The free edition is limited to "only" six virtual drives at a time and contains some sort of Alcohol toolbar that you can easily opt out of installing.
