3)SOCIALISM = FOOLISHLY OPTIMISTIC/SINGLE SIDED ARGUMENTS = IRAQ, ECONOMY FLAVORED

Just last week I passed the Life and Accident/Health insurance test for my state and I can tell you, for every little obligation the government passes DE JURE onto health insurance companies, the more impossible it is for them to offer cheap, simple catastrophe insurance for real emergencies. I hear that some states require PHEROMONE TREATMENT clauses in every policy. IN EVERY POLICY. How is that fair? What if I just want catastrophe coverage, all of the sudden I'm paying XX dollars more a month because I am involuntarily compelled to pay for YEEECH.

4)And ultimately that's what it all boils down to... The socialists want to INVOLUNTARILY COMPEL me to pay for someone else's pheromone treatment. And tomorrow it'll be their sex changes, and their abortions, and on the other side of the coin I'll have to pay for people that have more children than they can afford, not to mention a generally healthy person like me virtually EXISTS in insurance terms to compensate for the ADVERSE SELECTION that this legislation unduly caters to.

I don't believe I'll be responding to this thread, right now I have to get some sleep, and if when I wake up and the thread is ten pages longer then I'll just drop the issue. I could spend days talking and not 'convert' any of you. Instead I'll leave you with this note. Someday I plan on being very rich. It might not happen, I'm certainly not entitled to it happening, but if it does it'll be because of great works. I cannot do great works in Europe because they'd take more than half my money, and certain states in America are pushing the envelope in this department. Make fun of me all you want, but note that that British Billionaire Richard Branson has most of his money in complicated overseas trusts. He is the only great British person I've heard of (that wasn't a politician) and he opted out of their system. That's why SOCIALIZED is a bad word in America. See how spiteful even intensely patriotic people can be when you want to steal their money.

If you absolutely refuse to read the whole thing, at lest read the seventh and eighth paragraphs.

so is there absolutely no chance obama will veto this, or does he not even have an option at this point? i only want to know because i told one of my friends that obama was a piece of poo poo and he said that obama had no accountability to do with this (although he blamed bush for everything he did during his terms) and because i don't particularly care about the american political system i just had to say "well if obama does something then i'll say he's slightly better than bush"

I re-watched it myself in light of the intensity health care reform is getting these days. I know there are Michael Moore haters that love to pick apart his movies as misinformation but specifically what parts of Sicko do they try to denounce (other than the last 15 minutes of the Cuba stuff). I am a nurse so I see first-hand how bad patients get treated. For the most part a good chunk of the movie is very true of how horrible our health insurance system is.

i'm not sure whether sicko has been denounced or not, and maybe they just try to ignore it's there like all of the other facts and figures that are given to them to prove that uhc is good.

it's his best film and it's a subject that really works well with how he goes about making his documentaries because it doesn't appeal to just having leftists sensibilities it appeals to basic human compassion which he excels at
