Wait, they cancelled the DVD line? Faggots!! What season did they stop on? (loving 6 jesus christ)

This is a shameful end to a loving classic show and one of my alltime favorites. FOx will gently caress up anything they can get their hands on and then attempt to wash their hands of.

King of the Hill has always been really highbrow, it's not as though the lack of accessibility was a mystery. Anyone who likes the show enough to post in this thread is still flabbergasted it's gotten as many seasons as it has (it is literally a fox miracle).

Classic scene and example of perfectly executed character humor. The consistency in actions of all characters is one of the show's crowning achievements.

RIP Just Lose it feat. King of the Hill. Despite foiling the entire DVD line release, Fox aggressively strips any KOTH poo poo off of youtube with vigor. Just search for actual clips of the show - basically nothing on there.

It's Jeff Goldblum, episode name "The Substitute Spanish Prisoner".

One of the most hated by idiot goons who don't "get" KOTH, because Peggy gets a win (even after humiliating herself to rock bottom).

I'm partial to Shackleford, and I'm quite certain it's spelled as such in a closeup on the employee of the year plaque in one of my favorite episodes (The Exterminator). I won't deny the fact it could reappear again later with the alternate spelling, but that absolutely precludes it from being the de facto "correct" spelling.

Dammit I'm pissed off.

I think today was the first day of 'rescheduling daytime' on the Comedy Network (Canadian Version of Comedy Central). For the past year they've had KotH every weekday at 4:30, and for a few years before that they had it at 5:30. Today I turned on the TV at 4:30... to NOT see it. I just checked the schedule and it's been removed.

http://www.thecomedynetwork.ca/schedule/tvlist.aspx

What the hell?
I was worried about this. Comedy has been running KOTH every single day like clockwork (with very few exception/interruptions. The early evening time and the late night time, 1:00am EST on the dot) for years and I've gotten quite accustomed to it. Either this is just a new season scheduling mixup (unlikely), or they may have finally dropped it, possibly due to the fact that teletoon has now picked some syndication rights up. That would be so very awful, because there's no way they'd be showing it 7 days a week. :sigh:

This speech is one of the more confusing things on the show. Who is turning 18? If it is Fernanda, how was she a veteran of porn at 17?

The other confusing part is in "The Father, the Son and J.C." Niefko is the guy's first name, not his last, but Hank says that the tradition is Christmas with the Niefkos.
I really think that was just an excuse to showcase's Hank's comically wholesome austerity on full blast, again.

Whenever Hank says something dreamily with a tone of reverence there's a good chance that it's a classic gag.

It really is a shame how many people have slept on this show for over a decade. When the surface is penetrated it's extremely relatable and sympathetic to all kinds of demographics, and as many people observe, just try and name a single "bad" episode of KOTH. You can't because it's always kept a consistent quality to the degree of no other animated show for as long. The writing has stayed no less sharp than, say, "The Office" (moreso in my book). It's simply stifled by the medium gap it's caught within.

yes, it's basically going to come down to a dedicated fan who keeps tabs on a full syndication run and caps them accordingly. I would be that guy if I had a decent capture card. The other challenge is that no one's syndication run stays on point (ComedyNetwork Only had up to the 9th season but were consistent about episode order, latenight Fox showings have access to every season but it breaks out of episode order for no reason all the time).

I really want to see the remaining four. That was a nice ending tacked on to an otherwise "bobby episode of the week", but it felt like it could've been shoehorned in when they found out fox was going to screw the production staff over again (both episodes were Bobby-centric which always feels unnatural).

The point isn't that there needs to be a definitive result for that character touchstone. Only a casual viewer would expect that. What is at stake is that in the last season, it would be addressed properly "one more time for the road" as the ultimate evolution of that plot string.
