Laser printers generally cater to a different crowd. Add networking onto a laser printer and you'll see people starting to purchase for office use where "being cheap" isn't the primary motivation for purchase.

HP's networked laser printers are pretty awesome. Their consumer-grade inkjet and MFC boxes are complete poo poo though.

I agree with this completely. I loved all the 4XXX series LaserJets so we got an HP PhotoSmart thing for home use. What a piece of garbage.
