I'm looking for something easy to pick up / put down with a lot of replayability for when my internet goes down. I'd just go for a vertical shooter but I want to make use of widescreen. Any ideas?

My roommate is looking for a real-time tactics recommendation. He really enjoyed the Eidos Commandos series back in the day, and is playing on a laptop so something more modern but not 3-D intensive would be perfect.

I go in for shoulder surgery tomorrow. I already have some mouse-only games to play (Civ V, Don't Starve, Bit.Trip Beat, Jamestown), however I could definitely use some more recommendations, preferably on Steam. Here's my steam profile if it helps.

I've never played Final Fantasy XII. Should I play the vanilla or the international version?

TLDR recommendation request: Platform: 3DS or Mac Format: 2-player online Genre: Turn-based Other: Non-gamer friendly version: My SO and I looking for something we can play while chatting on the phone while we’re geographically separate. We’ve been playing Carcassonne on a couple of MacBook Pros (13” 2015 and 2017), and are looking for something else in the same vein. She’s not a gamer and her internet connection isn’t great, so I was looking at Ascension on the Mac Steam store or Mario Golf / Culdcept Revolt for the 3DS. Any other recommendations or thoughts?
