I've had my Furminator for...maybe 10 years? Anyway I got a new one and it's crazy how much better it is at removing hair. I guess the teeth on the old one actually dulled over time.

I finally got a better look at the cat that sometimes sits at my back door and upsets Mango at night. A very large calico cat. Alas I didn't have my phone on me to try to get a picture. A shame, as she was very pretty.

My mom sent me a framed picture of Maude being a goofball in Fort Warms. Only one place to put it for now... Edith is adjusting to single cat life. She's definetly sticking close to me but seems happy and cuddly.  Watching birbs while sitting weird  Helping commentate on streams  Good catstacks.

So Morris saw the orthopedic specialist (and also the owner of the practice) at the vet we use. He didn't find anything torn/pulled, etc, but after looking at the xrays, Morris has pretty bad osteoarthritis in both ankles (he showed me the x-ray, once he pointed out what to look for, yeah, it's easy to see). Gave him a full exam, and other than that, he's in amazing health - urine sample was on the high end of normal, but that's really good for a 19 year old cat (everyone Morris sees is amazed he's as old as he is.) He talked to me about a new shot they're trying with cats like Morris - it's something called Solensia, and it's for treating OA (only for cats currently, they're working on the same thing for dogs, he said it should be out next year). They've done it with several cats recently, and have had excellent results. $75 a month, and Morris doesn't have to deal with that pain? Take my drat money. It's been 5 days, I already see a difference in how he's moving - so much so, that I just took down the crate he'd been in, and put it away in the garage. he's even going up/down the stairs like normal.
