Hey everybody! It's the Achewood thread! Achewood is a webcomic, drawn and written by Chris Onstad, about the lives of some anthropomorphic animals. Not that it's a furry comic or anything. But you don't have to take my word for it. If you want to begin reading the comic, the best advice I can give is to just start at the beginning. If you'd prefer to start where the characters are a bit more established, This is a good place to start, and is, I believe, the starting point in the newest anthology. Thread Title: ![]() Achewood: A comic where things go *splut*: ![]() ![]() ![]() And now, more strips about Todd, because everybody loves Todd. ![]() Oh, for the love of all that is holy, if you're the first one to comment on the newest strip, be sure to start your post with quote:
The addition of Bold/Italics is always welcome.

This thread title is better than the last.

I decidedly prefer this thread title as well. Also, withak, can I just take this moment to say that your avatar upsets me deeply

I like it better, too. The last one just confused me when I first started reading.

Ahahaha, I love Todd, and am glad to see him in the latest strip.

Hah, he's a 'listener'. How utterly horrifying would hiring Todd as a male escort be.

He's definitely gotten it on at least once, to the musical stylings of Blood Beagle. Maybe that's just with trashy lady squirrels, though. You're probably right that anyone in a successful enough position to hire him would be horrified.

Why does this thread have the "MUSIC!" tag? I like jokes, but this is BEYOND THE PALE. Only kidding. I guess it's a reference to the original phrase from which this thread takes its title. I GUESS.

Chris, thanks for making my birthday more special by starting Achewood on Oct. 1st.

Man, Doc Faustus really hosed up this time. Onstad completely hates the thread tag.

Sorry Doc, but due to your grievous error you might want to get used to posting Achewood threads... ...in Hell.

Important New Topic: Does Onstad look a whole lot like Ray Smuckles, or is it just the glasses?

Excellent fanflow update, Chris - the tales of the Dude and Catastrophe are my favorites. Is there any plan to publish any of the fanflow updates in bound form, or does your general contract with AssetBar prevent you from doing that? Because I'd probably pick it up like I picked up the collected blogs (and I notice that said volume is no longer available - I hope it makes its way back to print in some form).

Mrs. Badcrumble posted:Cold. Sorry. There is no current plan, though I'd love a real publisher to compile the longer entries. Assetbar/Fanflow doesn't have any claim over this content, they are definitely not in the way. What is in the way is that such a project is a pretty hard sell.

What about the possibility of including them - perhaps piecemeal - with future print volumes of Achewood with Dark Horse? How's that selling by the way - if you don't mind my asking? Do things look good for Volume 3? also - I encourage any and all goons to pick up the 'zines and sign up for assetbar because it'll cost you practically no money but means lots and lots of good extra material if you enjoy Achewood whatsoever

Perhaps even soft-covered theme booklets would work without a major expense up front. A collection of Ray's materials. Or stories from the Dude and Catastrophe. Small items that would be little more than fancy saddle-stitched print-on-demand pieces. Also, I work for RR Donnelley, but I don't think the volume and size would merit our fancy Custom Point web store for on demand ordering, etc. However, there are certainly smaller outfits out there that would be willing to do on-demand printing of small saddle stitched booklets. And readers (me) on these forums who'd be interested in dropping a couple of bucks on each.

Psst. Even if most of us can't see it (anyone who is not a member of that particular comic's fanflow) you probably should try not to direct link pics.

Is Freezepop still technically disbanding? Will the fanflow continue, then?

Zefiel: Freezepop is NOT disbanding. The Duke is leaving the band, but is being replaced by (mainly) Seth Damascus-Kennedy. In short, touring will be the same as it has been for a while, and I guess we'll see where the band goes in terms of song writing.
