Proposed Budget: $6,000 or under (preferably under) New or Used: used Body Style: 2 door coupe is what I'd prefer, although I wouldn't be opposed to the right kind of sedan How will you be using the car?: A fun daily driver, just a thing to get me around as a first car. Don't have any kids or anybody to cart around except for my girlfriend so space isn't a huge problem. What aspects are most important to you? I would like something quick and sporty, possibly a manual. Gas mileage is a concern but if I find a nice car that I love gas mileage probably won't stop me from getting it. I've never owned a car (or worked on one) but I'd love to get a car I can tinker around on and make it go VROOOOMMMM.

Weinertron posted:There are lots of reliable sports cars out there, and a twin-turbo RX-7 FD is not one of them. Your best $6000 sports car is going to be a Miata without a doubt, and $6000 gets you a nice one. Good fuel economy, extremely easy to work on, cheap and plentiful parts, and almost all of them are manual transmissions. Great first car. Found a 92 Miata about 2 miles from me http://evansville.craigslist.org/cto/3946731720.html Kinda worried about whether or not I can fit in it, since I'm about 6'1". Would a FC RX-7 be any better in the reliability department? Sorry to sound like pining really hard for an RX-7 but I kinda fell in love with it via YouTube videos

Proposed Budget: around $6k New or Used: Used Body Style: Probably a 4 door sedan, a coupe would be alright too as long as it seats 4 How will you be using the car?: Daily driver What aspects are most important to you?: Reliable, sporty but not a complete sports car, decent gas mileage, 15 or so years or newer. My friend wants to buy a car to replace his (admittedly trashed) 94 3-Series coupe that he inherited from his dad. He's pretty open minded to anything as long as its not super old. He specifically said not another BMW.

Okay I've been perusing craigslist for about a month and I feel like I need to expand my horizons on cars. Proposed Budget: 10K is the highest I'm willing to go, preferable under this by quite a bit though New or Used: Used Body Style: No trucks How will you be using the car?: To get to work and as a pleasure vehicle What aspects are most important to you? I want a fun, quick car. I know the instant jump is MIATAMIATAMIATA but I'm also 6'3", 300 lbs so a car I can fit in would be really awesome, as much as I would really love one, every miata I try to get in is just a struggle and it's uncomfortable. I know turn of the century F-Bodies are popular choices as well as V8 Mustangs from the same era, but I feel like there are a ton of good choices I'm overlooking.
