Why... I don't understand what the reason or the expected result was.

Maybe it had a dead electrical system that rendered it impossible to get it out of Park. I remember that one Roadkill episode where Finnegan and Freiburger severed the half-shafts of a Prius so that they could flat tow it with a Gremlin for that same reason.

The reddit link I stole it from claimed the truck operator was showing off how he could easily get the car unloaded.

Hopefully his reward for this display was a job loss after his employer had to foot the bill for a new transmission and garage door.

What a loving idiot. Good thing nobody was standing between it and the door. :fuckoff:

The parking system as a whole is park of the 12V system, right? Why not just hook up a jump box to get it out of park? If it can't be powered up, drag the fucker off somehow instead of breaking the loving transaxle (and door, and whomever may have been between the door and car).

Take a look at the sign that falls down. That sign is placed on curving roads to make it obvious to people that the road is turning and they need to also turn. That car didn't.

iirc this was from Taiwan and he went straight off a pretty tall bridge instead of following the curve. Pretty sure the driver did not survive.

It's like "wetting" vs "wetted-up." Knowing the difference may save your life.

It's copper sulfate. Leaking battery acid reacting with the copper wires at the terminal.

My wife's stepdad was a career mechanic for the power company and her car was always breaking down too. At least her grandfather yelled at the right person about it.

Yes. Car has been driven 5-6 times since March.

I gotta say, I’m impressed both that Ford included functionality to cut drain when the battery got low (the remotes didn’t work at one point, but key in ignition still started it) and that it was running fine even with that, it was just starting a little slower the last couple times I moved it.
