I wouldn't call it horrific, or catastrophic, since it happened pulling out of my garage, but here is my old shock/spring set up on my Mini! Oh, Snap

Contraband posted:Eek, Koni Sport Kit? I've got the same thing on my Focus, I hope it doesn't do what yours did They were Koni Yellows and Hotchkis springs. It was quite a pain because it messed up my S/S line, sensors, and such. Can't just pop down to the auto parts store when you have a Mini. At least it was a good excuse to upgrade to coilovers.

BIG HORNY COW posted:LD3s are't too heavy like mabye 3-400lbs. I think the tare weight on a J is like 6-700lbs and a fully loaded one can weigh over 2 tons I always hated it when a driver would leave his pins down and dump a fully loaded AMJ into the street across from my input line. Also, pulling a full string of AMJ's through the snow never works.

Vanagoon posted:This is called dropping a can. You don't want to drop a can. I have seen someone kind of almost lose one, but still have one end up on the dolly, and all the ramp agents all come running from everywhere, 10 guys, and push it back up on the dolly and move along like nothing happened. They would say to me "You didn't see that!!" and I'd be like "blink blink see what? what the gently caress are you talking about, I didn't see anything!". You're supposed to empty out a dropped can and load the stuff into a new one, but that makes everyone late. Push that big bitch back up there and go! Ah, yes, I remember it was called dropping a can now. Been quite a while. I dropped a few in my days. I always remembered them telling me that you were pretty much escorted out if you dropped one but never saw anything happen to anyone. I did see a guy drop one off of the loaders by the plane. From the second deck of a DC10. He climbed down, threw his badge at his manager, and started walking home.
