 The G500 is 5700 dpi on it's highest setting. The highest I've used mine is around 3200 dpi, I think.

 I have 2 G500s that I've been using for a while now, and have had no problems with either of them.

 The G500 scroll wheel isn't changed through software at all. It's a mechanical button set a little back from the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel still retains it's mouse3 button functionality.
