fnordcircle posted:I Immed on Armageddon.org for about 18 months, was an avid player. I remember this and the fallout of it was hysterical. Wasn't Arm 2.0 announced to come out like three years ago? Then the date was changed to unannounced, but you could read the blog about development. Then the blog stopped being updated.

I gave up on Armageddon MUD a long time ago for Atonement RPI. Armageddon's code is downright terrible. It's so obtuse and out of date, but hey Arm 2 is just around the corner so why bother adding new content. It's been like what, six, seven years since that was announced? Seriously everything that's not the playerbase is awful with that mud. The brew code has been broken for what, over twelve years now? Forget fixing it though, Arm 2 will be ready any day now. And oh lord, the staff. Nyr, one of the current 'head' of the game, is so burnt out from that game but it's the one place in the world where he has some actual authority and it shows.

Unguided posted:Now that H:ATE's circling the drain, can someone recommend a decent MUD with a complex crafting system? I've been feeling like making some simulated goods. Atonement (http://atonementrpi.com) has a really in depth crafting system, and the entire economy is player-based I believe. It's essentially a RPI co-op survival game with permadeath.
